Blood Ranch is Xenon Pictures latest horror film and is far one of the best enjoyable independent horror films i have seen this year. Blood Ranch is
directed by Corbin Timbrook who shows you the sick & twisted things a human being can possibly do to another human.

The movie starts off with Four college students Jen (Season Hamilton), Mark (Dayton Knoll), Jason (Mike Faiola) and Val (Madeleine Lindley) who
are heading to a festival called Burning Man. Along there travels they pick up a hitch hiker named Alex (Daniel O’ Meara) who is a Iraq war vet and
is also traveling to the same festival they are. But the Five stop at a gas station for fuel, food and some papers. The gas attendant informs them
that they will be the on the only ones driving down the road, cause the road is closed for construction work. After that a the gas attendants
daughter tells them they are all going to die today, which none of them think anything of it and they all go on there way. Along there travels Val
decides to roll a joint & have a duchie in the car while they puff puff pass pass the joint around. Jason who is driving the car catches a quick
glimpse and notices there is someone standing in the middle of the road, then he slams on the breaks bringing the car to a screeching stop. Where
they just about run over Megan (Shalena Hughes) who is in shock, barely able to walk or talk and covered in blood & bruises all over her body. The
Six of them get back into the car and hope to find Megan a hospital, where soon later they pass a black van which ends up turning around and
attempts to run there car right of the road. Alex tells Jason to pull the car over and so he can deal with the problem. Alex then pulls out a gun and
fires a few rounds into the black van, which the van then stops and turns around and heads off. The group realises the cars axel is twisted and
now they are stranded out in the middle of nowhere, and a bunch of psychopath maniacs in a black van that wants to kill them. Megan is still in
shock and is unable to do anything so the group decides to split up, while Jason stays behind with Megan to protect her in case the black van
arrives again. Its just a few hours before nightfall and the other four head have to walk about 6 miles to the nearest town. But along there way
the Four find a broken down ranch called The Web, where they hope someone can drive them back to there car & pick up Jason and Megan and
get to the hospital.

This is where the movie really picks up. The Web ranch is run by a bunch of retarded inbreed psychopath killers, but the four don't know this until
they enter the ranch, where its run by a so call leader called Spider (Jim Fitzpatrick). Mark asks Spider if he can use the toilet which Mute (Scott L.
Schwartz) who plays a "big bald headed who cant talk" takes him too the out house "toilet". Spider tells the other three he can give them a lift
back to there car and to follow him, which he ends up showing the group his car which is the same black van that tried to run them off the road.
Then they all freak out and start running in all directions into the shadows of the ranch where other followers are waiting them. Jen the only one
who was able to escape the inbreed killers she hides out in a shed that is filled with bottled human organs and limbs hanging from the ceiling.
Turns out Spider and his crew has the gas attendants other daughter, so she sends people down there road to there ranch for the safety of her
daughter while the tourists end up getting rape, tortured, devoured just for kicks. Will the four survive and escape the ranch and what is going to
happen to Jason & Megan back at the car. You'll just  have to find our for yourself.

Blood Ranch is a awesome low budget film. Those who love Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Devils Rejects will enjoy every minute of this film.
Jim Fitzpatrick plays the lead roll in the film as a Charles Manson cross with Bill Moseley called spider who is a cruel and rude character who rapes
and kills anyone for cheap thrills. Now there is a good hand full of psychopaths in
Blood Ranch, you have a big bald headed guy who cant talk
called Mute. Spiders brother who wears a rabbits mask and kills only bad girls so the other followers don't fight and kill each other and bites off
there finger nails and then begins to masturbates with the dead girls hand. Some old guy in his jocks who loves plants while playing darts on some
other guys back who is chained to the wall, and the rest of them have rotten teeth, scabs on there faces & clothes from the 80's and talk with a
redneck ascent. Every scene shot though out
Blood Ranch was done with perfection by director Corbin Timbrook. But the only thing that lets Blood
Ranch
down is the gore, being titled Blood Ranch you would think its a gore fest of a flick. Yeah you get to see some chick with one of her hands
chained & spider grabs the buzz saw & cuts off her arm, and a few other scenes but i would love to seen a bit more gore or blood though out the
film. But overall
Blood Ranch is one hell of a cool film and very entertaining to watch. Awesome acting, very well written and extremely well shot by
the director.

I highly recommend you buy this on DVD, its every dollar well spent and you will enjoy it. Its Independent cinema at its greatest thanks to director
Corbin Timbrook, writer Antonio Hernandez, actor & producer Jim Fitzpatrick and of course Xenon Pictures.

"Rope 'em in... Tie 'em up... Ride 'em hard"
Getting out in one piece may just be wishful thinking: Four college students and an Iraq War vet, lost
on a desert highway, encounter a terrified young woman with a black van on her trail. They survive the
ensuing chase but their car doesn’t, forcing them to seek help at a nearby ranch. Only when it’s too
late does the group learn that it’s crossed the threshold into Hell! Welcome to the Web, a bizarre cult
of murderers, perverts and mental defectives, whose sacraments include mutilation, dismemberment,
and slow, agonizing death for all who enter. None of their "guests" have ever made it out alive. Tonight
may be different…but don’t count on it.
