Ahhh It’s about time really, for 10 long years The Bride of Frank was one of those titles that a lot of people heard of, but could never find a
legitimate copy of, now it is finally making its DVD debut via Sub Rosa Studios.
The Bride of Frank is about an old, formerly homeless man named Frank, who has gotten himself a job at a local trucking company and lives in the
office with his cats. Frank is a hard working guy who wants nothing more than to feed his unnatural obsession with tits and to also live his life
without taking any shit from anybody. Frank is a man of few words, but when he talks you better listen. Just like one bloke who got lost and
turned up at the trucking company to ask for directions. This guy is a really nerdy bloke (who reminds me a lot of Professor Frink from The
Simpsons!) and interrupts a party being thrown for Frank, and then proceeds to make fun of Frank, which really pisses him off. Frank warns the
guy if he doesn’t shut the fuck up he’s gonna rip his head off and shit down his throat. Well the nerd keeps going and Frank stays true to his
word…..
The other workers at the factory are starting to get really annoyed about Frank talking about tits all the time so they place an advert in the paper
for a “nice sensuous woman, must have big tits”. This brings out all the weirdo’s including a Tranny, a phone sex freak, a stripper who is about
300kg, an operatic diva and finally an older woman with huge saggy tits that frank falls in love with and marries. The End.
What, is that all? Well in a nutshell yes, but there is a lot more to this film than just that. If you were to compare it to another film I’d have to say it’
s like a Troma version of Bad Boy Bubby. You know, as in one minute it’s all soft and pulling at your heartstrings, then right after than something
completely insane happens that either makes you laugh or puke! And nothing is sacred either. There are Taboo’s shattered throughout the whole
running time like a little girls head being run over by a truck, skinned dogs, some guy getting his cock bitten off, implied bestiality etc. But there are
also some pure genius comedy elements like when Frank is given a blow up doll and he bites it on the tit and it blows away on him, and the
aforementioned shitting down the throat scene.
Sub Rosa have seen fit to turn this release into a Special Edition type of package as this disc is chock-a-block full of extra’s, and their transfer of
the film cant be faulted either, except maybe for the muffled sound, but considering the Shot-on-Video nature of the film I think it has more to do
with that than Sub Rosa’s transfer.
An Exceptional S.O.V. film, this one really lives up to its hype and is definitely worth investing in. OK so it got a little weird in a flash back sequence,
but the rest of the film is of a very well planned thought provoking nature and demands respect.
"Too Disturbing to Watch... Too Compelling to Turn Away"

Journey into the bizarre world of Frank - a lonely homeless man who sleeps on a cot in a warehouse with his small menagerie of stray cats. His life is almost as violent as his horrifying nightmares. All he wants is true love. But you better not mess with Frank, because if he tells you, "I'll cut off your head and shit down your neck," he ain't kidding. He will do it - and you will see it - in The Bride of Frank.
