Cannibal is about a lonely man, Armin Meiwes (Carsten Frank), who has an incredible urge for the taste of human flesh. He begins to desperately
look for a willing male victim and finds Bernd Brandes aka The Flesh (Victor Brandl) on the Internet. He agrees to let Meiwes wine and dine on his
flesh if he can make love to Meiwes before his flesh is eaten and drained of all its blood.
Cannibal is a dramatic re-enactment of a homosexual cannibalistic relationship brought together by the wonderful Internet in which one man
(Bernd Brandes) lets another man (Armin Meiwes) eat him alive. This film is actually based on the real events of the gruesome criminal case of
Armin Meiwes. Back in 2003, Armin Meiwes placed an ad on the Internet about his lifelong cannibalistic obsession to find a victim to eat alive. As
shocking as it sounds, Meiwes got an email back from a man willing to let Meiwes eat his flesh so he could become one with Meiwes. The
relationship was all recorded on a camcorder and the footage was confiscated as evidence for the Armin Meiwes trial. This is now known as one of
the most depraved crimes of modern times and Armin Meiwes is the world's most infamous cannibal. In the real life story, Armin Meiwes froze the
body parts of Bernd Brandes and for several weeks he fried up the meat with olive oil and garlic. He managed to eat about 20 to 30kg of Brandes'
body before the police kicked down his door and arrested him.
In the beginning of the film Armin Meiwes is a toddler and his mother reads him bedtime stories of cannibalism and torture. Growing up, he
becomes fascinated with human flesh. As an adult he doesn't find the flesh of women as tasty as men's. He also believes that women are like
gods, but men are put on earth only to breed and for their flesh to be devoured. It is at this point that he starts looking for a male companion on
the Internet that will offer his flesh to him. He wants to bite off his companion's penis with his teeth and dismember his body into little bitty pieces
that he can fry it up to eat and enjoy with a good bottle of wine.
I don't know about you, but you have to be one morbid, mentally fucked up person to be willing to agree to this shit. Having another man put his
mouth on my cock is bad enough (no offense to those who like the same sex), but for fuck's sake, at least get a few grand out of the deal before
going though with this shit.
Cannibal is directed by German filmmaker Marian Dora. If you are a homophobic person I warn you to stay clear of this film. It shows a lot of
full-frontal male nudity, hard-ons and sex scenes between men. For those who are not homophobic, well, you might find yourself cupping your bits
when it comes to the cock chewing scene (laughs) - shit, I know I was. Cannibal starts off pretty slow and there is not much dialogue until 30
minutes into the film (even after that there isn't much talking). This film is mainly visual and the ending is definitely got to be one of the most
grotesque, repulsive and gruesome scenes from any cannibal film. Yes, I ain't shittin' you, this film knocks Cannibal Holocaust and Cannibal Ferox
right out of the ballpark.
The gore level in this film is off the charts. Watching a guy chew the shit out of another guy's cock made me sick to the guts and then watching him
take to the guy with a knife...put it this way - you will feel the guy's pain. But don't fear, this shit doesn't stop there. By this point the guy is still
alive and kicking so Meiwes throws him in a bathtub of hot water so he can bleed to death quickly. Still, it's a no-go and the guy just wont give up.
The clicker keeps on ticking right up to when Meiwes rams a knife into his throat and guts him like a pig. Meanwhile, the guy is shitting himself,
spewing up blood and pissing himself. Fuck, that is all i am going to say...the rest you will have to find out for yourself.
If you are a hardcore gore fan and you don't mind watching two guys fucking before getting to the good, gory parts, this movie is right up your
alley. The rest of you will probably turn if off, faint, spew, walk out of the room or just slap whoever sits in the lounge room and watches it right to
the very end. Cannibal is everything a gore fan wants to see (and a whole lot more) so I highly recommend you buy this on DVD right now, before
customs gets wind of it and they ban the fucker.

In 2003, a man with a lifelong cannibalistic obsession placed an advertisement on the Internet in search of a victim to eat. Unbelievably he received a reply from a willing victim, whereby the stage was set for one of the most awful and depraved crimes of modern times. The gruesome incident was captured on camcorder and the footage formed part of the evidence at the trial of the world's most infamous cannibal. CANNIBAL is a horrifying dramatic reenactment of the gruesome relationship between two depraved human beings. One with an insatiable appetite for human flesh, the other with a yearning to be consumed and thereby become one with the predator. Gruesome, repulsive but riveting, CANNIBAL cannot help but hold an awful fascination for devotees of the macabre.
