A knife wielding maniac is wreaking havoc on the streets of Rome, strangling and brutally murdering young teenagers who attend the same college
campus. The local police and detectives begin to warn and question the teenagers at the campus by holding a meeting in the college hall. A
detective informs the students of the murders and asks  if they can help the police investigation by identifying the killers red and black scarf, which
was used to strangle his latest victim. Daniella (Tina Aumont) an art student who attends the campus, seems to have a vague memory of someone
on campus who she knows wearing that same scarf before, but unfortunately can’t think exactly who it is. It’s not long after and  she begins to
receive  anonymous phone calls from the killer, who threatens to kill her if she remembers who she saw wearing that same exact scarf. Scared for
her life, she tells her uncle about the phone call and he advices her to spend time in the country in a house he owns on the mountain side, over
looking the town.

Daniella is soon accompanied by two of her friends, Ursula (Carla Brait) and Katia (Angela Covello) and Jane (Suzy Kendal) who a day later drives
up to the house in her car. Sadly, the car breaks down and she has to leave the car at the local gas station for the mechanic to look at it.
Meanwhile, Daniella and the girls begin to unwind by sunbathing nude in the front yard, they also engage in lesbian tendencies and drink fine wine
and forget about all the drama that they  encountered. Unfortunately, the killer  has followed the girls to the countryside, and has new and
exciting plans for the girls. In one hand he holds a knife, in the other he holds a hacksaw, and intends to keeping his identity  hidden.

Carnal Violence AKA Torso, is an interesting and some what plain type of slasher /Giallo film. Since being an Italian Giallo film, you think straight
away of films from Italian directors Lucio Fulci or Dario Argento, who dominate the Giallo genre with cult classics such as Argento's
Tenebrae
(1982), or Lucio Fulci's
New York Ripper (1982). Fulci and Argento films are more in your face with violent deaths while keeping you on the edge of
your seats with suspense.
Carnal Violence's director Sergio Martino does do a good job with this film, but not as much as what our two most
loved Italian directors do with their films. Yeah, you have beautiful naked women being stalked and killed by a masked murder with a knife like you
see in all other Italian Giallo films, but it felt like the director  was holding back when it came to the death scenes of his victims, Martino leaves it up
to you to use your own imagination. Director Sergio Martino did in fact shoot
Carnal Violence very beautifully and it was visually breath taking to
watch. Though in the beginning of the film I kinda lost track of who was who and what was going on.

As for the gore factor of this film, there is not too much that you get to see, but like I said before, you are left to use your own imagination when
someone dies. Apart from that you get to see a few some what violent scenes such as teenagers strangled and stabbed, a throat slit, a man
crushed by a car, a teenager drowned, eyes poked out, a few dismembering scenes and some kid falling off a cliff.

If you are a big fan of the Italian Giallo genre or like a good suspenseful thriller,
Carnal Violence is definitely right up your alleyway. If you are
looking for a gory violent slasher flick, well don't bother with this film right now, but make sure you check it out at least once in your lifetime, as it is
a pretty cool film to sit down to chill out to.

So make sure you head over to our official DVD sponsor Rare Licensed DVDs and purchase this film right now. All their films are 100% UNCUT and
are of the best quality and affordability you will ever find on the Internet.

A fetishistic killer is on the loose, a madman in a balaclava who enjoys murdering young women (and
occasionally men, if they happen to get in the way). When two university students drop dead, Jane
(Suzy Kendall) and her three friends, Daniela (Tina Aumont), Katia (Angela Covello) and Ursula (Carla
Brait), decide to high-tail it to a villa in the countryside until the whole thing blows over. Unbeknownst
to them, however, the killer has decided to tag along and proceeds to stalk them before launching into
a blood-thirsty orgy of death. It feels great to be a student!
