Creepshow 2 is nothing more than a quick attempt to catch any loose change left over from the first film, and nothing more than that. The basis of
these three weak stories ("Chief Wooden Head", "The Raft", and "The Hitchhiker") are really to me something that should have remained under
the rug to which they where swept after the first one was being edited.
"Chief Wooden Head" is the story of a good hearted shop owner and his wife (Kennedy and Lamour) who are killed by local thugs, and have the
cigar store Indian seek revenge in there names.
"The Raft" is a little yarn of four young folk who decide that a nice fall swim would help the bud taste sweeter, and strengthen their chances of
seeing some brief nudity as they try to escape from a floating ooze that is set forth to end their fun.
And finally we have "The Hitchhiker", this is actually the best of the trio, and I use the term best very loosely. Anyway, after a night of behind the
husband's back romance, Annie (Chiles) discovers that she is running late, and must return home before her husband finds out she has someone
else on the side. As she races homeward, she is involved in a slight hit and run that soon becomes a haunting affair instead of a sexual one, as a
what looks like a fisherman is bound to get the ride of her life.
"When The Curtain Goes Up, The Terror Begins!"
