Damn this movie just blew me out of the chair. I heard a little about this film but I took a chance on buying it on DVD and then viewing it for the
first time. All I can say is fucking WOW, what a movie this was. It’s a little different to your average cannibal films you usually see. Director Ruggero
Deodato brings us something fresh and new, about cannibals and drug smugglers in the Amazon jungle. And this one we get to see the man
himself Michael Berryman (from Wes Cravens
The Hills Have Eyes).

Cut And Run is about roughly a drug lab that is hidden on the edge side of a river in the Amazon jungle and a plane flies in and out from time to
time smuggling cocaine. So Michael Berryman the leader of a local native cannibal tribe sneaks into the drug smugglers camp by using bamboo
pipes to breathe though and then jump out of the water and straight into the drug smugglers  lab and start stealing the cocaine. They slaughter
and kill everyone and the rape the girls. You probably saying yeah big fucking deal, but it is just how they go about raping these women that
freaked me out. They use these big sharp wooden stakes which they jam deep into the girls legs and hands pinning them to the ground then one
after another the cannibals rape the two women and while biting chunks out of them. The Michael Berryman then comes along and beheads the
two women with one swift blow to each of their necks. This is very gruesome scene and will blow you away.

Then it cuts to a young women pretending she has a crying baby (which actually is a doll) which is used to smuggle the cocaine into the USA but
she is unaware that a reporter by the name of Fran Hudson (Lisa Blount) is on her tail with her camera man Mark Ludman (Leonard Mann). Then
the women heads straight to the dealers house where then the reporter calls the police so she can get a good drug bust story for the news. But
she is too keen for the story and decides to head straight in there before the cops even arrive then her drug bust story then becomes a brutal
murder crime scene, where a women has been raped (as I mentioned above) and stabbed to death along with several other people. But she also
finds a photograph of the women who is standing beside the Colonel Brian Horne (Richard Lynch) and also the missing reporter’s boss's son.
Before you know it her boss sends Fran and Mark is on the next plane to the Amazon jungle in hope to find the Colonel and his missing son and
also maybe figure out the whole story behind the death in the drug dealers home. But what they don't know is that they are about to walk into a
bloodbath by cannibals and drug smugglers. Will they survive the journey and also will they find the missing boy, well you just have to watch it and
find out.

Cut And Run is now Uncut at its true form by Anchor Bay which is fucking awesome. Unlike most cannibal films there is really no plot but there
mainly about cannibals eating the weak and you see a little bit of tit from time to time. Well the one thing I love about
Cut and Run is that you see
all that and a whole lot more, the storyline is awesome and so is the acting.

Director Ruggero Deodato did a beautiful job at shooting this film and the scenes with shit loads of gore which is wicked. I was pleased we didn't
have another
Cannibal Holocaust spin off like you see in other cannibal’s film such as Cannibal Ferox and The Mountain of the Cannibal God. Also
I am a big fan of actor Michael Berryman also and seeing him in this film reminded me so much of his acting skills in
The Hills Have Eyes. Just
seeing Michael Berryman again with the machete in one hand hacking into every fucker is just simply priceless.

This is one cannibal film that has to be in your DVD collection. If not I highly recommend you either buy it on DVD or rent it, either way just check it
out its truly a masterpiece and deserves the respect of being right up there with
Cannibal Holocaust and Cannibal Ferox.

An ambitious television reporter (Lisa Blount of An Officer and a Gentleman) and her cameraman
investigate a series of grisly murders as well as the disappearance of their boss' son (Willie Aames of
Eight Is Enough). But when they trace both stories to the Amazon, they discover he is the prisoner of a
drug cartel led by a renegade Colonel (Richard Lynch) and his army of sadistic natives. Now their 'big
story' has become a nightmare of sudden violence where the ultimate assignment is survival… and the
most brutal animal in the jungle is man.

Karen Black, Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes) and Eriq LaSalle (ER) co-star in this infamous
shocker directed by Ruggero Deodato (Cannibal Holocaust), originally released in American in a
butchered 'soft' version. This is the notorious 'hard' version of Cut and Run, now fully restored from
international vault materials and presented completely unrated, uncut and uncensored!
