"When there is no more room in Hell, the Dead shall walk the Earth"...
Well it SHOULD actually be written like this: "When there are no longer any fresh ideas in Hollywood, the lazy shall make a god-awful remake".
For those of you that have been avid visitors to this site, I would expect that you have already seen the original version of the classic ROMERO film.
So I fill that it really needs no in depth explanation for this version other than it SUCKS ASS! Yes I said it, and I'm not taking it back. WHY, you ask?
Let's find out...
First off, no one movie should ever be re-written (This is movie law, and it shall be), if anything make it a sequel.
Secondly, zombies DON’T RUN, CLIMB FENCES, HAVE CHILDREN, SCALE PIPES LIKE APES IN A ZOO, or THINK!!
Thirdly, if I wanted 28 DAYS LATER, I would have watched it again. Look at the records, ever since the first zombie film (Edison's 1910
FRANKENSTEIN, yes that's right Frankenstein was a zombie, he was created using DEAD parts re-animated to life, so if you think otherwise,
I'll get my soapbox and we will begin the debate), you don’t move like lightning when you have a little thing like no circulation and soon start to
develop rigor amortise, your joints stiffen up and even moving a finger is a chore, just ask anyone with arthritis. This has been the same formula
used for the next 94 years in zombie films. What the hell are they thinking in Hollywood? I seen everything from a 3-second zombie transformation,
a rough vehicle scene taken directly from the 80's TV hit "The A-Team", and numerous one offs from the original films.
The only thing to save the grace of this film is the blood and gore factor. Full-on head shots reign supreme, and I did love them all, but there was
not one true full on disembowelment, or gut munch recorded. You say they are hungry, and have a strong desire to feed, then I want to watch
them ea,t damn you!!!! Watch it for yourselves if you must, but remember:
I WARNED YOU!!! Listen to your elders. Have fun, I didn't.
