Four petty thugs are wanting to make a quick break from pedaling drugs on the street corners, and come up with a plan to rob a bank in a small
town. To get the job doneright they first need the right fire power to do the job. They ask a local gangster named Hustle (Rapper E-40) if he can
supply the guns, but under one condition… that they have to bring along his toughest bodyguard Jackson (D.J. Naylor) who is a former military
vet/ex-con that works for Hustle. While Jackson checks out the bank, the four street thugs decide to hit the bank one day early, while Jackson is
currently still in the bank. It’s not soon after someone hits the alarm button and the police are outside the bank requesting them to leave the
bank, money and town before sunset. After releasing the some of the hostages, the stubborn crooks decide that they won’t leave the money
behind. Before they know it, the sunlight begins to fade and it become night, and the town is overrun by flesh eating vampires who begin to
devour and infect the police, hostages and everyone in the small town, while the thieves are trapped inside the bank. They are soon  joined by a
mysterious Hunter (old-school rapper Big Daddy Kane) whose sole purpose is to seek revenge (due to the loss of his wife in another town from
these creatures) and exterminate all those who are infected by the virus.

Filmmaker Bo Webb makes his feature directorial debut called
Dead Heist which is basically a weird gangster low budget zombie/vampire film. The
only way I can describe this film is if writer Anghus Houvouras took the concept of
28 Days Later and made the infected zombies into vampires.
Meaning the only way to kill these sons of bitches is to shoot, stab them in the heart and if anyone gets bitten by someone who is infected, they
automatically become infected themselves. Plus these guys "only" feast one day out of a month which seams to always fall on the first new moon
of each month. It’s definitely a weird little film, rather entertaining plus the body count is at least in the hundreds towards the very end of the film.

The acting in
Dead Heist is borderline, and probably made to be aired on the Sci Fi channel to tell you the truth. It was fucking awesome to see E-
40 and Big Daddy Kane having a role in the film. But the guy who stole the spotlight would of have to of been D.J. Naylor, with his cool approach to
rather hectic situations within and outside the bank.

The gore factor in this film is rather low. There is a fair amount of blood splatter throughout the movie, also you get to see a few chunks chewed
out of those throats who come into contact with the infected. But other than that, nothing to really get worked up over about…

Dead Heist isn't a film you want to go straight out and buy on DVD, so you might want to play it safe and rent it before you buy it. But if you are a
hardcore
28 Days Later fan, well then you will definitely get a huge kick out of this film. That’s about it guys, I will leave it up to you to decide.
