A women in her early 20's with amnesia has lost her memory is being admitted to the State Mental Asylum which the staff just call her Jane Doe
(Cheryl Lawson). She believes she hasn't lost her memory, but someone has stolen it from her due to a surgical operation. So she is now
wandering the hospital corridors of the Asylum with all the other schizos and mentally ill patients, then all of a sudden an earthquake under the
institution erupts sending Jane into a fit, she starts screaming that there are people in the basement need help and want out. The nurses and
doctors just sedates her to calm her down so they can try and get order in the Asylum cause the other patients are going off the wall also. Then a
few days’ later patients start to go missing one by one and Jane believes they are being brutally murdered by someone or some think in the
hospital. Sooner or later she starts having visions and nightmares at night of a deranged looking surgeon who has a bullet hole in his forehead
and is walking the dark hospital corridors at night grabbing mentally ill patients from there rooms. But none of the nurses or doctors believes her
and they think she has gone insane and is seeing illusions. Dr Swann (Jeremy Slate) then beings hypnotherapy on her, which to try to get to her
memories, but Dr Swann uncovers some think else. Some type of trauma from which she was a child where she was taken away from her father by
her mother. The only person who does listen & believes her is a guy called Christian (Stephen Gregory Foster) who is a patient also and he
becomes very close to Jane. They both team up together and try to figure out what exactly is going on in the Asylum and why patients are missing,
but unaware of what the evil surgeon is doing to the patients in the clock tower across from them.

The Dead Pit is an outstanding movie but doesn't get the spotlight like other zombie films for example Lucio Fulci's The Beyond though The Dead
Pit
did infact remind me alot like The Beyond. This movie does have its creepy and scare times but it could of done a little better and maybe show
bring on the gore level a bit more.

But to narrow it down, if you haven't got any think else to watch or if you are a zombie fan this movie is for you. Those looking for a big blockbuster
with shit loads of blood guts and gore, sorry guys you better give this one a miss then.
