What we have here is a cheap and nasty double bill of 70's Italian exploitation films on one DVD for a super low price......
Deported Women Of The SS (1976)
A bunch of women are thrown onto a train during World War 2, and are dumped off at a prison camp. Once inside the camp, the girls are tortured
and beaten and turned into sex slaves and the like. Escape is the only way to survive, and thanks to the Prison Doctor an opportunity arises to try,
but does it go to plan?
The plot is basically interchangeable with every other Italian Nazi film made at the same time. However Deported Women of the SS has an
unusually low level of torture, but a high level of sexual taboos in place. Women are shaved completely bald (both upstairs & downstairs),
lesbianism is running rife through the camp, the male camp commander likes to fuck blokes in the ass, but he also has a fixation with one of the
prisoners who gets her sweet revenge in a Pam Grier “Coffy” style, involving hidden razor blades.....
A shockingly incompetent film Deported Women of the SS isn't really something I'd recommend, unless you are a Nazi completist. Overall just an
overlong snooze-fest with a shitload of T&A....
Escape From Women's Prison (1978)
With a title like that I must admit I was just expecting yet another mindless prison romp... Hell even the back cover says sweet fuck all about the
movie! Instead what we get is actually a surprisingly pretty damn good film!
4 Female prisoners escape from prison and go on the run, problem is their escape plan doesn't quite go to plan and the getaway driver waiting for
them is shot, and later passes out behind the wheel crashing the car. A busload of ladies (along with a couple of men) on their way to a tennis
tournament pull over and help the escapees out of the wrecked car. The escapees then repay the tennis chicks by taking them hostage on their
own bus! One of the hostages happens to mention that her friend is a judge who just so lives in a big castle up the road where the escapees
could hide out without being found...
From here the film turns into "Fight For Your Life" styled home invasion film with the escapees fighting with each other, using the hostages for
their own sexual gratification, and just generally fucking with everyone’s heads, until somehow the cops find out where the escapees are hiding
out....
A prime selection of 70's Italian sleaze, Escape from Women's Prison is not quite a long lost gem, but fans should get something out of it. T&A is
ample with almost the entire cast going nude at some point in time (including Cannibal Ferox's Zora Kerova completely full frontal!), however the
print here feels fairly trimmed during the sex scenes and with a running time of 76 minutes the film just flies through without too many dead spots.
Apparently a 100 minute version exists, but where does one come across said version?
So what do you actually get for your money then?
Both films are here are in horrible full frame transfers that look like they were pulled from 5th generation bootleg VHS. Sound is adequate, even
though a 5.1 mix is supplied for both films, nothing actually comes out of the surround speakers so its just basic 2.0 all the way... Extras are non
existent, not even trailers!
However for the $10 purchase price, this double pack is worth getting just for Escape from Women's Prison with Deported Women of the SS
(Special Section) being something there to watch late one night as an insomnia cure.
