A group of suburban housewives have suddenly gotten the urge to feed upon human flesh, due to a bizarre infectious venereal disease,
that for some reason only turns women, who have committed adultery on their husbands, into flesh eating cannibals. While they slowly
begin to transfer into monsters, the youngest siblings, who are too young, or unable to fight back, are the first to fall prey to their hunger.
Linda (Donatella Hecht) was the first to witness her own mother eating her baby brother in his crib. Terrified and scare, she doesn't know
who to turn to or who would even believe her, she can't even tell her own father, she'd caught him earlier screwing another housewife
from down the block. One by one, other teenagers from around the town begin to witness bizarre events in their own homes also. They're
all too scared to go back home, so they end up walking the streets all night and eventually run into each other, soon they team together
to try and find what exactly started this rabid disease, or find a cure, if not, their last option is to kill their own mothers before anymore
innocent people get devoured by them.
This film kinda reminded me of Rabid Grannies meets Desperate Housewives, with a gore level of Peter Jackson's Bad Taste. Mothers
who commit adultery pay the price and slowly turn into savage cannibals. This film definitely has it's highs and lows, and is trashy in some
ways. These mothers ate anything, or anyone, who got in their way, including police, cats, teenagers, babies, and other mothers, but
mostly their own family members were their main prey. I guess you can say that the mothers kinda had certain zombie features, however,
the special FX artist, Carl Sorensen, made them look more like they were possessed by demons, like from The Exorcist, than like your
average jungle cannibal from Cannibal Holocaust.
The acting was cheesy and little piss poor, but it can be very enjoyable to sit down to and watch. A number of horror fans will simply
enjoy this film and some will probably think it's pure shit, but if you love the late 80's era of thrash cinema you're going to really dig this
film. There isn't much happening on the Elite DVD in the extra department, just a trailer, that's about it.
My favourite scene in this film would had to be the cat found in the dumpster by two of the mothers, they both tore it in half! Poor kitty,
but good fucking entertainment. I highly recommend you check this out one weekend, surely you'll be able to find this on the shelves of
your local video store or in a discount bargain bin under the $10 mark.
