Ahhh…Russ Meyers (Born in 1922 - Died in 2004) the king of buxom babes and sexploitation classics! How can you not love films that are chock-a-
block full of huge natural titties with titles like Beneath the Valley of the Ultra Vixens & Faster, Pussycat Kill! Kill!?
I can’t really comment on any of his other films, but I have read a lot about them, and to say my first Meyers’ film viewing exceeded my
expectations is the biggest understatement ever!
Supervixens starts off with Clint Ramsey (Charles Pitts) working at a service station pumping petrol when a hot chick with an unusually large bust
(Super Lornsa) starts talking dirty to him while he is on the phone with his equally beautiful and well-endowed girlfriend, Super Angel (Shari
Eubank). Upon hearing another woman’s voice, Super Angel naturally thinks the worst and orders Clint to come immediately and pay some
attention to her. Upon arriving home, they have a quick root before having a massive domestic!
The friendly neighbor calls the cops and Sergeant Harry Sledge (Charles Napier) turns up to find Clint attacking Super Angel and knocks him out
with his night stick. Super Angel then decides she wants to root Harry, so Clint goes down to a local bar and gets wasted.
Harry though, is a sadistic psycho who has a monster cock that he can’t get up. He beats the living shit out of Super Angel when she cracks it with
him because he can’t perform. Super Angel taunts him and calls him a fag and Harry responds by throwing her into a bath full of water, jumping on
her several times, throwing a radio into the water and then setting the house on fire!
Clint’s boss, Martin Bormann (Henry Rowland) finds out what has happened and finds Clint at the bar. Thinking that Clint killed Super Angel he
gives him some cash and tells him to leave town.
Clint hitchhikes out of town heading east, and the first guy he thumbs a lift with is a normal person. The next ones though, Super Cherry & Cal, are
a pair of sexual deviates. Super Cherry tries her best to get it on with Clint in the car, before he tells her not to and to drop him off. Super Cherry
doesn’t like this idea and makes Cal beat the hell out of Clint before robbing him and leaving on the side of the road to die. An old farmer finds him
and takes him to meet his nymphomaniac mail-order bride, Super Eula! Clint works for the old farmer, while he and Super Eula have sex all over
the farm, including with some animals! The problem is, Super Eula wants Clint, and when she finally gets her way they get busted and Clint takes
off, finding a cheap motel in the middle of nowhere.
Here Clint once again finds himself in trouble when the motel owner tells him to leave his mute/deaf daughter (Super Haji, who talks surprisingly
well when she has a cock in her!) alone while he heads into town. Super Haji has other ideas though and she makes Clint take her for a drive
through the desert (topless of course) in her dune buggy, before her father finds them out there while he is cruising in his dune buggy with the
local sheriff. A big chase ensues and Clint ends up catching a lift with another guy and ends up at Super Vixen’s petrol station.
Clint & Super Vixen (Shari Eubank, again!) end up falling in love and run the servo without any trouble, until Harry arrives one day and causes a lot
of strife for the young couple…..
This film kiddies, is mindless drive-in sexploitation of the highest order! Truly deserving of its undeniable cult classic reputation, this film has
everything good about the era in abundance! A sex comedy disguised as an action film would be the best way to describe it, and it has all the
elements of both without leaning too much to one side. Lots of sex and nudity, car chases, fighting, and the absurd and explosive finale all add to
an excellent viewing experience. Even if the plot is a little thin, you can’t go wrong with this film for sheer entertainment value!
Supervixens finally makes its R4 DVD appearance in Australia courtesy of Madman Entertainment as part of their Director’s Suite set. The picture
quality is very good, minimal print damage is found on the full screen transfer but the mono soundtrack, while adequate, would have benefited
with a 5.1 mix.
Extras include an excellent commentary with the man himself, Russ Myers, that is full of information about the shooting of the film and back stories
on all the actors. Myers himself seemed to still love the film at the time of the recording and is constantly laughing all the way through. Also
included are trailers for other movies in the Directors Suite series including: Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, Live Flesh, 2046, Show Me Love, as well
as the original theatrical trailer for Supervixens.
Something has to be said about the menu screen though; we are treated to large bouncing breasts even before the film has begun! What more
could you want?
An excellent film that truly deserves your attention, sexploitation films don’t come much better (or better made even) than this.
