"They came to Earth to feed on human flesh"
The Deadly Spawn
DVD/APPROX. 80 MINS/1983/USA R18+
Fuck me dead! Here's one 80's sci-fi cult classic film I never thought would ever be on DVD.

I remember seeing this film as a kid. The cover to it just always caught my eye & i used to stare at it for like a minute or two before deciding to
watch it again. It was in one of those big ass VHS boxes. All the pictures on the back made the film look sick as hell heaps of blood & guts & a
eyeball popping out of this head FUCK YEAH. As it turned out, the film is a low budget labor of love.

There's not much too it really but the film still has to be one of my favourite & most watched films when i was growing up. It was about a alien
seed crashes on earth, & it eats humans. It crawls into the basement of a house and it starts eating humans. This young horror film fan kid comes
to the rescue and saves the day. The monster effects are really fucking sweet, but the production value is very low.

Synapse does a remarkable job bringing this one to our TV screens. If you love low grade schlock films, you'll want to pick this one up if ya haven't
already seen this film already.

A group of campers stumble upon the remnants of a meteorite and discover some fanged, worm-like
creatures have hitched a ride to Earth. After the “camper” appetizer, the alien spawn take refuge in the
basement of an isolated house…and get ready for the main course! With the people in the house now
becoming the entrees of an intergalactic monster buffet, a group of teenagers, led by a small boy,
decide to take this matter into their own hands…to stop the aliens from reproducing and rid the world
of
The Deadly Spawn once and for all!
