The Horror Convention Massacre
SCREENER/APPROX. 70 MINS/2006/USA UNRATED
A deranged serial killer is on a rampage killing the celebrity guests, horror fans and hotel employees within the hotel, at the 2006 Cinema
Wasteland Horror Convention in Strongsville. Unfortunately Aaron (Bryan Jalovec) is having a rough day The assistant manager of the hotel Paul
(Ted Wodoslawsky) calls him into work, when it supposed to be his day off, also finding out his girlfriend is cheating on him. While the disgruntled
employee is running around changing cum stained bed sheets, scrubbing blood stains off the floors and listening to his boss bitching and
screaming in his ear hole, the killer is slicing and dicing everyone in the hotel.

How fucking cool would of it been attending the 2006 Cinema Wasteland Horror Convention in Spring and on that same weekend in the mist of all
the horrorfans director Joe Ostrica and his crew are filming a full on horror film. How fucking original is that, and that following year he had the film
done and ready for a premiere and DVD sale at the 2006 Cinema Wasteland Horror Convention Fall show, which was just 6 months later, what a
fucking genesis. Now if you haven't been to a horror convention yet, kinda like myself, well this is a good chance for you to see what exactly
happens and what goes on at one of them. Joe Ostrica films some live footage around the horror convention to kinda give you a good idea what
goes on, in this film you get too see special appearances by Lloyd Kaufman  who is the president and founder of
Troma and also creator of the
Toxic Avenger, Ari Lehman is the first ever Jason Voorhees from the Friday The 13th films, and the beautiful B-movie scream queen Syn Devil who
has starred in a large number of films such as
My Vampire Lover, The Tenement and recently reviewed The 8th Plague. So expect to see a few
familiar faces when you check out this film, it will definitely keep your eyes glued to the television.

The acting thoughout the film wasn't too bad, For a bunch of un-named cast members they all pull off a pretty enjoyable performances, but if you
don't enjoy the acting, you going to love all the full body nudity. And if that doesn't get your blood pumping well be prepared for the kills scenes,
where you get to see a guy getting a drum stick rammed into his eyeball, a hooker getting smashed in the head with her high heeled shoe or a fat
guy being gutted with a stanley knife, plus a fucking whole lot more for you indie gorefans to get a hard-on over. But keep in mind this is a low
budget film, so don't expect special effects from the likes Tom Savini but i got to hand it to special effects guru Joe Shaw, his eyeball gags were a
real  treat to watch.

Now for the bad, one thing i kinda got the shits with was the sound. From time to time i found myself turning up and down the volume though out
the film, so that kinda took the fun out of watching
The Horror Convention Massacre. Another thing was the camera work, it was a tad bit too
shaky every now and then, but the cameraman always manage to keep everyone and everything in frame which was awesome. But that's about it
to tell you the truth.

The Horror Convention Massacre has everything what a horror fan wants in a movie, plenty of T&A to give a old man a heart attack, bucket loads
of blood, girl on girl action, drugs, and so much sex it will remind you to wash your own sheets "which reminds me, i have to put the sheets in the
dryer". Those who love watching independent films with low budget effects and haven't been to a horror convention yet, will appreciate this film for
a hell of a long time.

So i highly recommend picking up this fine title as soon as you can and make sure you invite all your friends over to watch it, just head over to the
Old School Sinema website
www.oldschoolsinema.com and you can buy this awesome film on DVD for as low as $15 plus shipping and handling.
