Six former classmates receive invitations one day to a high school reunion. When they arrive at their
alma mater, however, they find that not only are they the only ones to have receved letters, the
invitations were actually sent by a deranged preacher intending to murder them all as punishment for
their wicked ways. Will any of them escape from the remote schoolhouse alive, or will they all meet
their final judgement?

"If You Have a Craving for Terror...
Come to the Class Reunion"
The Redeemer: The Son of Satan!
DVD/APPROX. 84 MINS/1978/USA UNRATED
A young boy rises from a lake in the middle of nowhere and heads to the nearest church. Inside is an almost rabid priest giving a sermon on the
path of righteousness and so on.

Whilst all this is going on 6 people in the last 20’s or so are getting ready to go to their class reunion. We go through several flashbacks to get
everybody’s background and learn that we have a greedy lawyer, a lesbian, a glutton, a poofy actor & a beauty. This lot arrive at the school only
to find themselves to be the only ones there, when all of a sudden they get locked in! Slowly something mysterious happens to them all, being
killed off by an unknown assailant. If you are starting to think this movie sounds a lot like
Slaughter High then you are right on the money!!
However there a few surprises in store, you will just have to wait & see for your self.

Featuring fairly inventive deaths for its day (although admittedly very basic ones) and a real all over the place plot, this is a fairly enjoyable movie.
Although the ending was a little bit of a let down it was still strange enough for me to forgive its shortcomings. The photography work on this is
really well done for a movie of this budget, and the score is excellent!!

The only gripe I have with the whole thing is nothing really explained enough. Surely a bit more of a background on the killer or its motives
wouldn’t have been to hard to decide on!!  70’s US slasher type lovers will fairly enjoy this, me however I thought it was just OK.

A new DVD company (
Code Red) have this listed for a DVD soon, although all there other previously announced titles have been held back,
hopefully soon they will see the light of day, as they have some other wicked titles in there grasp!

Check them out at
CoderedDVD.com and tell them to hurry up with there releases!!!
